Rita got very angry one day when she could have killed Hedda Hopper who was riding Orson Welles (Rita´s husband) in her column. The choreographer Jack Cole recalls: “Hedda was walking around the studio and Rita heard about it. Rita tried to find out what set Hedda was visiting because she wanted to go up to her and let her have one right up the nose. She was a real Spanish lady that way, and she had a real tongue when she wanted to. I called up the public relations people and they got Hedda out of the studio before Rita found her!”
Here´s Rita arriving at Cyro´s Club, summer on 1945, to meet Orson Welles.
